Midnight Run EPK
International touring band, Midnight Run is a high energy, Tennessee based bluegrass band made up of four like-minded musicians, set out to create a band that ties to the rich traditions of bluegrass music and offers up a fresh approach to that “high lonesome sound”. Each member draws from their own personal influences including Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, The Johnson Mountain Boys, Jimmy Martin, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Johnny Horton, Chuck Berry, among many others. From bluegrass, country, to rock and roll, they encompass all their musical backgrounds to create a sound they call their own.
Midnight Run stays true to their musical roots with tight harmonies and a reverence for “Old Style” bluegrass music, all while stretching the boundaries of the genre with their song selection, stage antics, and exciting performance.
Originating in the Gateway of the Great Smoky Mountains, Midnight Run began its journey in February of 2015, at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where they become a permanent staple of everyday life at the Holler. Now, with over 200 shows a year, they find themselves playing to audiences from all over the world.
Favorites among bluegrass enthusiast and non-bluegrass audiences alike, they keep the energy high and the audience on their feet. Midnight Run knows when they are on stage, it’s not only about the music, It’s about connecting with the audience and leaving them with a memory that will last a lifetime. “Midnight Run” has been referred to as one of the most entertaining new acts on the bluegrass scene today.
Midnight Run performs bluegrass, classic country and gospel music in a style reminiscent of the past with a sound all of their own.
Hang on tight, as Midnight Run transports you back in time, to another world as you join them for a night of authentic East Tennessee bluegrass music. From the moment they step on stage you’ll feel like you’re in the hills of Tennessee, sitting on the front porch, listening to some of the finest music the Smoky Mountains have to offer. It won’t be long before your singing along and tapping your foot to the drive of the five-string banjo.
in the fall of 2018 Midnight Run completed their first studio album “One More Night”. The boys also have two Live projects “Live From The Holler” Volume 1 and 2 that they recorded at Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 2016.
Midnight Run recently completed their first international tour where they spent 20 days performing across Ireland, Scotland, and England. One of the highlights was Headlining the 10th annul Moniaive Michaelmas Bluegrass Festival where they performed to sold out, standing room only crowds every night of the festival.
